3 cups cracked wheat2 lb very lean heavy beef, finely ground2 large onions, coarsely chopped1 small jalapeno pepper, coarsely chopped1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, coarsely chopped1/4 cup fresh basil leaves or 1/2 tsp, dried4 tsp salt1 tsp pepperOlive oil1/4 cup butter or margarine
Filling1 lb ground chuck2 onions, coarsely cut1 tsp salt1/2 tsp pepper
